my formula..

i live by 2 beliefs in my life:

“Be careful what you set your heart on, for it will surely be yours…”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

… and,

know what you want, then just go imitate from other people who are currently doing what you want to achieve, or who have done it.

re-strategizing mode..

before game consoles, nintendo was making playing cards.

before group buying, groupon was ‘the point’.

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results..”

…. nintendo wasnt in the business of making playing cards. they were in the business of fun, toys, and games. nintendo wouldnt have much success as it would now if it kept pursuing making playing cards.

… if its not working, get feedback. figure out why is it not working. re-strategize and keep experimenting… until you make it.

… when things are going easy, alot of people want to be friends and want to work with you. but when things are difficult, people run away from you. reminds me of P. Ramlee… :P

ONLY surround yourself with people who want to see you successful or passionately want to be successful with you. stay away from noise.

dont settle.

ultimately, what happens around you doesnt matter. whats important is what are YOU goin to do..?

I BELIEVE IN MYSELF!

lesson for the day :

1.) you already know yourself. you like to be in control of the situation and other people’s work.

2.) always have freedom of choice. survey for options, then go for the best.

3.) in the future, do it yourself. you have high standard! you know what you want and you only choose the best. do it yourself.

4.) have peaceful emotion. transfer instead the negative energy into workout.

what is it..?

thoughts: i can see the potential.. i know its there. i can feel it. but my mind can’t quite grasp what it is yet. its still a blur. its like driving alone at night on an unfamiliar road and only being able to see with what your headlights can shine on, and you can only hope that you are moving on the right path towards your destination. but you know that you are but you can’t prove it. you just trust it.

the potential is there, but not sure what it is yet..??

… but how will you know when you’ve found it? hmmm…

theres alot of competition, no doubt. and there always will be. but never mind them.. focus on what you want to do and what you want to be doing.. what you are familiar with, and have full control and awareness of the process and the outcome.

moolah is king. moolah comes first! keep moolah flowing.. then come back to this.

personal relation

i remembered when i was still a wushu athlete back in 2004.. our wushu association went to Sandakan on Chinese New Year to perform in Sandakan’s stadium in front of a large audience. i forgot how many days we stayed there, but i think it was a day or two..?

so on our way back to KK we stopped by at Bundu Tuhan Children’s Home. i had no idea that we were going there. i woke up from my nap from the backseat of the land cruiser and was curious where we were and what me and my wushu teammates were all doing there..

my coach started to unload rice packs for the Children’s Home. and after we all had finished, we did a short wushu demo for the kids. The children’s home accommodates orphans from infants up to 18 year olds by the way.

so i did my wushu thing. somersaulted and flipped here and there with my wushu broadsword. and seeing the children’s reaction was so fulfilling and satisfying than any other performances i have done in previous.

i came to the children’s home as a stranger, and i too treated them as strangers. but after showing my dangerous wushu skills(haha..), the invisible wall that separated me and them was no longer there. we started talking and getting to know each other and i almost felt like i didnt want to go back. i honestly enjoyed spending my time with them…

.. so few years have passed. and recently me and my work teammates went to Kota Kinabalu Children’s Home in Kg. Beringgis to drop some used clothes, and food that we had collected from generous people in conjunction of Eid Ul-Fitr.

It wasnt as fulfilling and satisfying as how I had hoped and expected it to be. we just went there and dropped of clothes and food:\

.. im not really sure why im writing this.

what i really wanted to achieve was to be able to interact with them. find out what their dreams and goals are in life and get to know them and hope to inspire or even be inspired myself.. not just give food and clothes. im not saying im not happy and grateful. giving food and clothes to orphanage is better than nothing right..?

really.. i dont know why im writing this… there is no purpose. im just writing randomly as i procrastinate from my work which was supposed to be finished a MONTH ago..! i should get BACK TO WORK..!!! before i stop and publish this. just want to share one last thing which i had posted yesterday on my google plus account…

the problem with charity is that you only feed the poor a day. but they will always be living in the same environment that created that starvation.

as the saying goes, “give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. give a man a fishing rod, and you will feed him a lifetime..” - Chinese Proverb.

what we need to do is to improve charities. find ways to educate the poor to change and improve their lives so that they too can help and improve other people’s lives. to make it a global mission that poor and charities no longer exist and becomes impossible in this world..

poor, orphanage, the rich, the medium income.. we’re all the same. we’re all equal human beings living in the same world. i dont know what i just wrote in this post….. blabbering nonsense.

There is a saying..

“The entrepreneur is not really interested in doing the work; he is interested in creating the way the company operates. In that regard, the entrepreneur is an inventor. He or she loves to invent, but does not love to manufacture or sell or distribute what he or she invents.” - Michael Gerber

In my opinion.. the entrepreneur is one who steers the company. thinking of strategies to make the company successful. He is a good business creator, but not a very good business operator.

ive been mingling with people who bring negative energy in my life and who have been bringing me down. in entrepreneurship, work is your life. so the people who you work with will effect your personal life. ive got to be more strict on the types of people i recruit in the future and stick to criterias.

ive decided to not be too close and set boundaries to ONLY as subordinates. only until i find someone better to replace their position. gotta get rid of bad energy and poor performanced people who are not meeting my standards fast before they bring me down.

on a different note, im also on a mission: to reprogramming my brain into seeing everything from positive perspective.. and filtering and ignoring the negative and the irrelevant n insignificant.

… focus on your goals and the bigger picture, and not get distracted by little things.
